After graduating from the University of North Carolina (UNC), Chapel Hill in 1973, she attained her MD degree at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1977, and completed her residency training at UNC. In her academic career, she has been a trailblazer, providing general gynecology services and establishing Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologic care at the University of Virginia, University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Stanford University. She has brought national awareness to the health issues of Interpersonal violence and abnormalities of the menstrual cycle. She was instrumental in drafting the ACOG Opinion, “Using the Menstrual Cycle as a Title Sign.” She has been recognized as an educator and mentor for medical students, residents, and fellows, and colleagues.
She’s done the usual academic things—publishing (including several textbooks) so as not to perish; teaching, which she dearly loves; and serving on US national panels and committees, including for ACOG, AAP, FIGIJ, the CDC, FDA, NIH, and the Medical Advisory Board of Planned Parenthood. She’s been a legal consultant and testified as a pro bono expert witness for the ACLU. In the 1980s, she wrote a monthly column for Parents Magazine on Pregnancy and Birth.
She is the proud mother of 3 adult children (a public high school teacher, a Buddhist monk, and a senior engineering manager at the Wikimedia Foundation) and adores spending time with her 11 yo granddaughter who fortunately, lives in the Bay Area. In “retirement”, she is delighted to find time to read and participate in a book group, swim, knit, go for walks, learn to weave on her grandmother’s floor loom, volunteer with her Unitarian Universalist Church, sing in both her church choir and a community choral group, and to renew and nourish friendships.

Nationally Recognized OB-GYN &Women’s Health Expert,CLEVELAND, OHIO
Dr. Linda Bradley is an internationally acclaimed OB-GYN, women’s health authority, and one of the nation’s foremost voices in gynecologic care and patient empowerment. With decades of distinguished clinical and academic experience, she has built a reputation as a trusted expert, educator, and advocate whose work has meaningfully shaped how women across the country access and experience healthcare.
A nationally recognized leader in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, hysteroscopy, menopause management, and women’s wellness, Dr. Bradley brings rare depth of expertise across both surgical and preventive care. She has authored extensive peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and evidence-based educational resources that continue to advance clinical standards and improve outcomes for women at every stage of life.
Among her most deeply held clinical convictions is that the physical experience of gynecologic care matters profoundly. Dr. Bradley has long championed innovation in examination tools and techniques—recognizing that discomfort and fear associated with routine procedures, including the pelvic exam, are among the most significant barriers preventing women from seeking the preventive care they need. It is this conviction that drives her work beyond the clinic—shaping national conversations about how gynecology must evolve, and advocating for approaches that treat patient comfort and dignity as non-negotiable standards of care.
Dr. Bradley is a highly sought-after speaker on the national and international stage, delivering compelling presentations on women’s wellness, menopause, patient-centered care, and the critical importance of removing barriers—psychological, cultural, and physical—that prevent women from seeking consistent gynecologic care. Her ability to translate complex medical science into accessible, actionable guidance has made her a trusted resource for both clinical audiences and the patients they serve.
Recognized among America’s top physicians, Dr. Bradley has received numerous distinguished honors for her clinical leadership, teaching excellence, and sustained contributions to women’s health. She is widely admired for her compassionate, patient-first philosophy—one that holds that every woman deserves to feel heard, safe, and supported in the care she receives.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Bradley is an accomplished author, wellness advocate, and community leader committed to expanding health literacy and access. She believes deeply that education, comfort, and equity are not optional features of quality care—they are its foundation.
Her mission is unwavering: to help every woman become the healthiest, most empowered version of herself.

From a clinical perspective, the process is very straightforward. The instruction card is easy to review, and I was able to perform the exam exactly as I normally would. It integrates seamlessly into the visit without disrupting workflow.

When a patient expresses a need for a more comfortable exam experience, I think it’s important we listen. Accepting the Nella Comfort Kit is a simple way to support patient comfort while maintaining the same standard of care.
Dr. Michael Krychman
What stood out to me right away was how much more relaxed my patient was during the exam. Less tension and less anxiety made the experience smoother overall, without changing how I performed the exam.
